The Rohini Nakshatra comes in every month of the year. This fast is considered very important in the Jain community. Rohini vrat is performed when Rohini Nakshatra prevails after Udayatithi i:e sunrise. This fast is especially observed by Jain community. On this day people worship Lord Vasupujya. It is believed that Rohini vrat should be observed for a period of 3, 5 or 7 years. After completing the cycle of selected year devotees should do ‘Uddyapan’ to complete their fast.
